boss of the psychiatrists: hey, Rachel, do you know the name of that movie? the one about the boston ax murderer?

rachel: you mean the boston strangler- is there a movie about that?

b.o.t.p.: no, this crazy guy takes an ax to people...

rachel: I don't know what that is.

b.o.t.p.: he lives in a house in the woods, and he attacks people...

rachel: you mean texas chain saw massacre?

b.o.t.p.: yeah, that's it.

ah, yes. I forgot to mention that when I returned from vacation I was returning to something new and scary- the inpatient psychiatric unit. it's taking up a lot of my time and energy, but I am learning new things like how psychopharmacology can affect bilirubin and have anticholergenic effects. just last week I had no idea what those things were.

today is the last day of my week off from work. I don't do stay-at-home vacation very well. Hugsband is great at it- he can lounge and waste time with the best of 'em, but I prefer to travel or stay busy if I am not working. once my in-laws left on wednesday, I spent the remainder of the week melting chocolate to pour on things (strawberries and bananas, mostly), reading links from Chris' addictive new blog (top5daily.blogspot.com), and asking Hugsband if I was doing a good job not doing work. the answer was always no because I never really stopped for a whole day.
