If Jason went on a streak of watching french films or film noirs would you consider that a pathological obsession? I suspect you think zombie and horror films are a low art and that is your real issue.

If he starts to let zombie mythology affect his life in a real way, then you should be concerned. I worked with a guy who confessed to me that he was afraid to drive home at night because he couldn't stop imagining zombies walking toward his car across the countryside.

Not all homeschoolers are religious freaks. Some are just plain old religious. Watch "Jesus Camp," and you'll find that those kids are homeschooled, too. But those particular families can give you the willies.
