Hugsband is tired of me pathologizing his zombie fixation. today he said, "not everyone thinks that an obsession with death is a bad thing. why, just today I read about an unrepentant necrophiliac." as if that were a persuasive argument in favor of watching horror films...

it is kind of fun for me to try to psychoanalyze Hugsband's love of the macabre (my current theory is an attempt at mastery over fears of bodily harm), though I am generally opposed to Freudian approaches to understanding behavior. I get particularly annoyed when a psychoanalytic colleague tries to interpret my vegetarian eating habits. according to Freudian tradition, vegetarians avoid meat as a way of supressing oral cannabilistic impulses.

so really, it's obvious why Hugsband and I are so in love. he loves zombies, and my inner zombie is struggling to get out.

Finally, an explanation that makes sense. BTW, I once saw a wrestling show that had an dude playing an unrepentant necrophiliac. Lucky for us, it was only one show.

I miss having you two around.
